Hello, My name is Bruce Williams
These are my thoughts on Morality and Ethics.
Code 19
Except in defense of self or other people against physical death, physical slavery, or physical oppression, murder (killing a person) is wrong and should be punished.
This code justifies only immediate actions, such as - If a person comes around and says (s)he is going to take you into slavery, it does not give you the right to kill that person; but if that person attempts to take you into slavery, then killing that person is acceptable.
The same goes for someone physically threatining to kill someone. In order to take action, an average person would have to be able to understand that the threat was real and the other person could actually do it. Someone yelling "I aught to kill you" in the heat of an argument where (s)he could not actually do it would not give you the right to kill them.
