Hello, My name is Bruce Williams
These are my thoughts on Morality and Ethics.

Comment on the validity of the 21               My Code is not listed

Code 14

Knowingly lying about anyone's actions or words is wrong, including lying through omission or disguise, and should be punished.

Lying is telling someone something that you know is not the truth in order to harm them, oppress them or obstruct something. In other words saying something that you know to not be the truth in order to prevent consequences of your actions or words, or to prevent someone else from doing something that they wish to do but you do not wish them to do.

Lying through omission is lying by knowingly omitting part of what you know that will change what the people hearing you precieve as the truth.

Lying through disguise is using words which the average person in a society would not be able to understnd in the context of what you are talking about in order to cause confusion.  An example of this would be the use of the term derivative to describe taking a loan out, selling stock, etc. on the value of something you own.

Lying does not include expressing an opinion that the rest of the world may deam improbable. An example of this would be if your 6 year old child brings home a drawing of you and you praise it as being beautiful when the rest of the world may not think the same.
